The story
Overview
A distinctive open-top classic: this 911 2.4 T Targa is a desirable early air-cooled sports car in a striking colour scheme. It is understood to be an original French-market car, first registered in February 1973. The naturally aspirated 2.4-litre flat-six drives the rear wheels through a four-speed Sportomatic semi-automatic transmission.
Exterior
Finished in Viper Green with a brushed-metal targa roof bar and a black vinyl targa roof panel. The car has previously received a complete repaint as part of earlier restoration work. A "911 E" badged engine lid is fitted, but the car is confirmed as a 911 T.
Wheels & tyres
15-inch Fuchs alloy wheels in satin black with polished "petal" spokes and lips, fitted with Toyo Proxes CF2 tyres.
Interior & equipment
Black leatherette and corduroy cloth interior with metal trim. Equipment includes a top-tinted windscreen, heater and ventilation controls, a push-button Blaupunkt radio and push-out front quarter-light windows.
Service history
Most recent maintenance in October 2024 at an indicated 70,853 km: spark plugs, drive belts and filters replaced, valve clearances adjusted and alternator work carried out.
